Fun fact: Consumer Reports conducted a study on the reliability and performance of a 200,000 mile Prius versus a 2,000 mile Prius. The findings were that there was little to no difference in performance, fuel economy, and reliability after ten years of ownership. Additionally, due to the abundance of Toyota hybrid vehicles, maintenance and parts have become very obtainable and affordable, making the maintenance costs of a hybrid comparable to standard engines. Engine 1.5 L engine hybrid engine is very smooth during idle and acceleration. The hybrid engine retains energy and gets great gas mileage as it should.
